Kindle (PC)

  1. We’re assuming you’ve downloaded the .MOBI and the .EPUB files onto your computer, and that you know where the files are.
  2. Plug your Kindle in to your PC with the cable provided.
  3. The Kindle will show up on your Computer screen, sometimes called the My Computer screen. The exact name and location of this screen will vary depending on the version of Windows you’re trapped in, but your PC will treat the Kindle like an external drive, so find the thing that most resembles this:
  4. Double-click on the Kindle. See the documents folder?
  5. Copy the .MOBI format e-book file into the documents folder. Unless you’ve got a Kindle Fire, do not copy the .EPUB format e-book file. As a rule, Kindles don’t read .EPUB files.
  6. That’s it! When you turn your Kindle on, your new e-book will be in the Library.
